Most of my outfits for daytime are pretty casual. Jeans, t-shirts, simple dresses, flat sandals…you know the kind.

But sometimes I need a slightly dressed up look for an event or a meeting.

A really simple formula makes this kind of outfit really easy to put together:

dark jeans + a dressy top + wedges

A pair of DARK JEANS is an essential in every woman’s closet, and it’s always a good base for a semi-dressed up look.

I chose a cute RUFFLED EYELET TOP to go with the dark jeans because this top feels feminine, summery, and also special. The white cotton keeps it from being too dressy, so it’s the perfect daytime top.

If you ever want a slightly dressier look for daytime, toss on a pair of WEDGES. They’re typically as comfortable as flat sandals but that little lift makes your outfit feel more special and dressy.

Smaller bags are usually for evening, so keep your TOTE BAG to help the outfit stay casual.
