I don’t know about you, but a lot of my summer wardrobe is pretty basic. It’s impossible to layer, so we resort to really simple basics that can leave us feeling a little bit blah. So I’ve come up with a list of 10 fun summer accessories and pieces you can add to your closet to help it feel fun!

1. Hats

If you missed my post about hats, FIND IT HERE. Hats are a great accessory to throw on during the summer. They give you a little bit of sun protection and add a little personality to a basic shorts and tee outfit.

You can do straw hats, felt fedoras, baseball caps, or any other kind of hat you’d like!

2. Statement earrings

I love adding a pair of statement earrings to a simple tee to make it feel a little more dressed up. I linked a few fun ones below!

3. Unexpected sandals

I’m sure we all own a pair of flip flops for the pool, and probably a pair of brown leather sandals. But let’s spice it up and add something fun with studs or colors. With shorts and a white tee, they stand out and make your outfit feel special!

Bracelets are the accessory of summer 2020! Friendship and beaded bracelets are making their way back and they’re super fun. But if you want a more sophisticated look, try a stack of bangles like THESE.

Yes, I know I already said statement earrings, but gold hoop earrings fall into a category of their own. These are the kind of earrings that make any outfit feel chic and stylish. I love these little mini hoops RIGHT HERE.

Every girl needs at least one really good summer dress in their closet, the kind you can toss on with sneakers, sandals, or wedges if you’re getting dressed up. Do you own one? You should.
